A teaser bet is when you bet on two or more games or matches and receive a number of points to add to each line that you bet on.
Here’s an example:
The regular lines on three games are as follows:
Titans +7
DOLPHINS -7
Giants +4
COWBOYS -4
Patriots -6
BENGALS +6
You decide to place a 7 point teaser bet including all three games and pick the Dolphins, Cowboys, and Bengals.
The line moves 7 points in your favor on a 7 point teaser on each game. So the Dolphins game moves to even, the Cowboys move to + 3, and the Bengals move to + 13.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Different sports books set up their teasers in different ways. Make sure you completely understand the process before placing your bets. Some books call a 7 point teaser one where you only have a total of 7 points to divide among the teams you pick instead of getting 7 points for each team.
You also need to know what happens on ties. Some teaser bets lose on ties, others win ties, and others reduce the number of games in the teaser on a tie. In other words, if one team ties on a three team teaser the teaser is reduced to a two team teaser.
You have to win all the games on the teaser in order to win.

Notice that in a 7 point teaser with two games you have to bet 135 to win 100, but everything else on both charts is bet 100 to win the plus amount. On a 5 ½ point teaser with three teams you bet $100 to win $180.Math Examples
Skip this section if you’re allergic to math, but it’s good to understand how the math works and what you need to become profitable betting teasers.
Normal bets with the spread require a bet of 110 to win 100. If you place two bets, one on each of two different games, and win one and lose one you end up losing $10. If you placed a 5 ½ point teaser bet on the same two games you’d bet $200 to win $200. If you lost one of your bets against the spread by fewer than 5 ½ points, in the teaser you’d have won.
Of course, sometimes you’ll win both bets against the spread for a profit of $200 on a $220 wage. In those cases you’ll also win $200 on the 5 ½ point teaser as well. Why do i keep losing football bets.
The downside is if you lose one game on the teaser, you lose the entire $200. But if you lose both games against the spread you lose $220.
Diversify your bets if you start making teaser wagers. Instead of betting the same $220 as you would on straight bets on one teaser, bet two different teasers for $100 each.
The 10 team teasers have nice looking pay outs, but they rarely hit. Focus on finding a few games that offer the best chance to win. Place two or three game teasers until you start winning consistently.Current Betting Lines

As the posted lines get closer to the true lines, any number of points you can move the line can be more profitable.
If you pay attention to NFL and NCAA football, you know the favorite doesn’t always win and even huge underdogs can win from time to time.
Even a 7 point teaser isn’t enough to overcome many of these upsets.
Just like you can’t blindly follow the advice not to use teasers, you can’t blindly bet teasers and hope to profit. Even if most of the lines are perfect, every week a few will beat you. In other words, you still need to handicap games to pick the games offering the best chance to win any teaser bet.A Strategy
This is a simple strategy developed from a theory I have. It’s not meant to be a final strategy you should blindly use. What you should do is develop your own theories and strategies derived from this one.
After I started thinking about how much better the sports books are at setting lines than in the past, I started considering whether or not you could find situations where you could just bet teasers and show a long term profit.
If the lines are close to true lines, teaser bets should win more often than in the past.
I started investigating the NFL by looking at home underdogs that were less than 7 point dogs over the past several seasons. I then compared the average number of points they lost by with the spread. I tried to find a sweet spot where a teaser at a set point amount could be profitable without further handicapping.
I still haven’t found an exact magic spot, but the research has shown promise. I’m convinced I can find multiple areas where it can be profitable.
You don’t need to do anything more than I just described to develop and test your own theories. Keep coming up with new ideas and test them. Eventually you’ll find things that work.
All you have to do is develop a theory, figure out a way to test it, test it on previous results, track future results, and be willing to tweak the process repeatedly until you find something that works.
Here’s an example:
You could look at NBA games where road teams were favored, or when the road team is playing the third straight road game.
Let your mind wander and write down any theory that comes to mind, even if it sounds silly. Most sports bettors consider betting teasers silly, but that doesn’t mean they’re right.
Until you compile the information about your theory and test it you don’t know if it’ll work or not.
The best thing about finding a series of profitable teaser bets is they should be profitable for years to come. The sport books will continue getting better at setting lines, so teasers stand a good chance to be even more profitable in the future.
If you do find a profitable teaser system, keep it to yourself. If the sports books figure out too many players are profiting from the teasers offered, they’ll start adjusting the teaser payouts against the public. When I asked him why he plays aces the way he does, he told me in many things the most accepted way to do something isn’t the best way. In many studies if you just do the opposite of the general public you’ll be better off.
I’m not talking about doing anything illegal or stupid, but don’t blindly follow everyone else because it’s the way it’s always been done. At one point everyone was convinced the world was flat and that earth was the center of the universe.
Take the information covered here and start tracking the results for yourself. Explore the different point levels with other aspects of sports betting to see if you can develop a new formula.

After years of being a fan-favorite, Andre Roberson’s departure from the Oklahoma City Thunder was a bit muted. An injury sapped almost his entire final two seasons, and when he did return, fans weren’t able to watch him in person, as it was during the NBA bubble. Roberson’s contract expired that offseason and the team did not re-sign him.
He left without fanfare, and two months into the NBA season, he remained a free agent. The Brooklyn Nets, in need of defensive help, finally snagged the former All-NBA defender, Shams Charania reported Friday night.
Thunder fans reacted with happiness to Roberson getting another chance in the league, but this wan’t the only reaction.
They quickly noticed just how many former Thunder players the Nets have on their roster.
Beyond the jokes, Thunder fans are thrilled Roberson is getting another chance.
There was also general appreciation for his defensive acumen.
Roberson isn’t ensured anything. HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto reported that it’s a one-year, non-guaranteed deal, and Yahoo Sports’ Keith Smith described it as “essentially a one-week tryout.”

Sports aficionados who were around at the turn of the century witnessed McMahon’s move play out, and needless to say, the original XFL didn’t last long. And that’s what makes the return of the organization a little baffling. The USFL featured stars such as Herschel Walker, Steve Young, Reggie White, and Jim Kelly. That league finished three seasons from 1983 through 1985 before it folded.
As mentioned by Fox Business, multiple varieties of Arena League Football arose and fell during the 2000s. Those running the United Football League gave it a go from 2009 through 2012 before admitting defeat. Once November begins, live football contests air on cable and national television every night of the week — NFL match-ups on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays, and college games on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays — until the end of the college campaign. So yeah, there’s a whole lot of athletes out there tackling one another.
XFL apologists may immediately retort that league games occur during the spring, thus offering something different than college football. While that’s true, all should remember sports programming is no different than any form of episodic television. Penn State product Matt McGloin enjoyed a cup of coffee with the Oakland Raiders, but that brief stint won’t result in him selling thousands of jerseys and tickets to local XFL supporters.
In February 2020, XFL commissioner Oliver Luck told NPR’s Michel Martin that former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick wasn’t in the league because he had salary requirements that were ’exorbitant and certainly out of our range.’ That same month, former college football sensation and Cleveland Browns signal-caller Johnny Manziel seemed to mock the XFL via Twitter. Later in March, MLB and Major League Soccer start their regular seasons. Plus, both NBA and NHL teams begin pushing towards postseason play around St. Patrick’s Day.
April won’t be any kinder to the XFL. The men’s and women’s Final Four have become April events. Near the halfway mark of the month, the Stanley Cup Playoffs and NBA Playoffs will get underway. Games occur practically every day, including on XFL Saturdays and Sundays, in the opening rounds of those tournaments. Before the start of the 2020 XFL season, the league placed franchises in Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, St. Louis, New York, Seattle, Tampa Bay, and Washington DC. However, the NFL has teams in seven of those eight markets. On top of that, the New York Giants and New York Jets share MetLife Stadium, while Los Angeles is home to both the Chargers and Rams. Can the XFL find a way to get potential customers in those markets (who already have NFL season tickets) to attend up to five home XFL contests per season?
As for Seattle football fans, well, they have a reputation for being more loyal than most. They’re not known as the ’12th Man’ for nothing. Sports supporters in and around the area are also passionate about following the Seattle Sounders. Per Soccer Stadium Digest, the Sounders averaged over 40,000 fans for home MLS games in both 2018 and 2019. In March and April, some of those consumers will have to choose between the Sounders, a team that officially debuted in the North American top-flight soccer league in 2009, and the Seattle Dragons of the XFL. If we had to bet on who they were going to pick, well, things aren’t looking good for the Dragons.
Plus, weather will affect games in certain cities. Will snow or below-freezing temperatures deter fans from trekking to venues in New York or D.C.? Seriously, a little bit of bad weather, and things could get really bad for the XFL.Fans may not learn confusing XFL rules

In college, the game clock stops on every first down until the ball is set for the next snap. That doesn’t occur in the NFL. College receivers only need to have one foot down in the field of play to complete a catch, while NFL players must secure a thrown football while both feet are in bounds. With that said, both competitions are brands of football most fans grew up watching either in-person or via television, so they’ve all picked up on the differences by now.
However, in February 2020, USA Today shared a full list of rule differences that separate the XFL from the NFL. To be blunt, there’s a lot to digest. Players lineup differently for XFL kickoffs than what occurs during high school, college, and NFL games. Surprise onside kicks and kicked extra points don’t exist in the XFL. The XFL has ’comeback periods’ in the final two minutes of the second and fourth quarters of games that involve clock stoppages after each play.
So what’s the downside to all these changes? Well, one concern is NFL and college football fans will find these differences too gimmicky and too minor league. Dozens, if not hundreds, of athletes without contracts may spurn the XFL to remain fit and hope to receive shots from NFL teams once starters and reserves suffer unavoidable injuries during training camp practices, preseason games, and regular season encounters.
All of this means the overwhelming majority of XFL talent will sit somewhere between subpar and bad on the football spectrum. In short, many XFL games will be ugly and feature offensive linemen with poor footwork, cornerbacks who can’t cover receivers, receivers who drop catchable passes, and quarterbacks who can’t read blitzes or coverages. And if you want to know how that might play out, just ask Arena League Football owners how quickly the novelty of trainwreck football wears off for paying customers.
Worst of all for the XFL is that every player signed to the league is dreaming of playing in the NFL and winning a Super Bowl, whether he publicly admits it or not. Quarterback Tommy Maddox won the only MVP award in the history of the original XFL, and that successful season earned him a contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers. 1. The fight itself had to have significant drama (the most important criteria). In other words, each fighter, at one point or another, must have been in a position to win the fight. This is main reason why Chuck Liddell and Fedor Emelianenko’s names are not on this list. They both tend to dominate.
For example, in Emelianenko’s win over Mirko Cro Cop, Cro Cop never really looked as if he was going to be the victor. Hence, the fight didn’t make this list.
2. The bigger the stage the better. In other words, what the fight meant was a major criteria. Non- championship bouts didn’t get as much love as those giving out belts. TUF finales were also looked at with high regard due to the stakes involved, as were PRIDE Grand Prix style matches.
In addition, due in part to the mixed martial arts television blackout during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, some good fights are absent from this list. The reason? The stage was lacking.
3. Only PRIDE and UFC bouts were considered. To go beyond the two major organizations would be to add even more chaos to a difficult task.
So, without further ado, here we go. 10. Wanderlei Silva vs. Hidehiko Yoshida I The Stage - PRIDE Final Conflict 2003 on 11/9/03 Best Mma Finish Ever
At this point in his career, PRIDE Middleweight Champion, Wanderlei Silva, had rattled off an impressive 13 straight bouts without a loss. He seemed unstoppable. Further, Judo Gold Medalist, Hidehiko Yoshida, had only three MMA fights under his belt.
Even so, it was a great fight.
Early on, Yoshida proved his takedown prowess, dropping Silva to the ground rather easily. While on the ground, Yoshida nearly won via neck crank; Silva almost pulled off a triangle choke.
Even better, throughout this two round fight, Yoshida proved his worth standing, taking punch after punch from Silva without falter (and returning some of that fire as well). In the end, Silva was the better man via unanimous decision.
But this was a fight that seemed as if it could’ve gone either way on several occasions. 9. Josh Barnett vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira The Stage - PRIDE Final Conflict Absolute on 9/10/06.
What a ground war. Though there were some decent exchanges on their feet, these two went from submission attempt to submission attempt on one another while on the ground. It could’ve served as a clinic on flowing submissions and escapes. Further, each combatant took their turn being on top and bottom of the ground exchanges.
As time expired, Barnett had Nogueira in a knee bar. Might that have finished the fight: who knows? What we do know is that final submission attempt probably won him the fight via decision. 8. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Bob Sapp The Stage - PRIDE Shockwave on 8/28/02.
Sapp, a former professional football player weighing in at 350 pounds, had demolished the only two MMA opponents he’d faced coming into this bout. In short, he hit very hard, was inhumanly strong, and, was, well, huge. Nogueira on the other hand, was much smaller and less powerful, but was (and is) the Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu master.
In short, the bout started with Sapp throwing Nogueira around like a rag doll. He even slammed him on his head, making many onlookers, including this writer, grimace. However, despite Sapp’s somewhat gruesome domination early on, Nogueira did what he always does.
He persevered.
Toward the end of the first round, evidence surfaced that Sapp was tiring. By the second round, there was no doubt. Soon after, Nogueira’s submission game established itself in the form of an armbar. A great two round fight that cemented Nogueira’s legendary status.7. Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg II The Stage - UFC 52 on 4/16/05
Short and absolutely sweet. This was a fight where the unthinkable happened. Trigg struck Hughes in the groin; Hughes then turned to referee Mario Yamasaki to complain.
Poor move.
Yamasaki hadn’t seen it, and Hughes got pelted with punches he wasn’t ready for by Trigg. Next thing you know, Trigg has his back, and the choke is sunk in deep. Hughes begins to turn red, even purple. It seems as if his run as champion is about to end.
But this is Matt Hughes, remember.
First, he escapes the choke. Next, he picks Trigg up in the air and walks him to his own corner.
Then perhaps the greatest slam of all- time occurs. Next thing you know, Hughes has Trigg in a rear naked choke.
Then Trigg taps. Perhaps the most exciting four minutes and five seconds in an MMA bout ever. 6. Don Frye vs. Ken Shamrock The Stage - PRIDE 19 Bad Blood on 2/24/02.
There’s a reason why this one was called ’Bad Blood’. Before the fight, Shamrock was downright steamed, indicating that Frye had said things about his family. In fact, they nearly had a fight at the press conference.
With both fighters trying to recapture their former glory on the comeback trail (this was Shamrock’s fourth fight after taking over three years off and Frye’s third fight after nearly five years off), this one could’ve been ripe for disappointment.
In short, it wasn’t.
These two guys fought a war. At one point, Shamrock nearly won the fight via leglock. However, despite the fact that Frye was clearly caught, he showed an immense degree of toughness and refused to tap (eventually Shamrock tired and he escaped).
This fight was great on the ground and standing. After a grueling three round fight, the judges rendered their scorecards.
A split decision victory for Don Frye. 5. Kendall Groves vs. Ed Herman The stage - TUF 3 finale on 6/24/06.
’It was a close fight,’ said Herman. ’It could’ve gone either way.’
You’re darned right, it could’ve.
What a war! These two that had spent eons in a house together during the TUF 3 show. You’d think that would make them want to take it easy on each other. After all, they were friends.
Not so.
For the most part, this fight took place on the ground, even though there were clearly some nice stand up exchanges (most of which Groves won).
When on the ground, it seemed as if they were putting on a clinic. In short, each fighter went from dangerous position on the mat to dangerous position, proving both their ability to both employ and escape submissions. Probably the thing that gave Groves the unanimous decision was the fact that the fight ended with Herman in a rear naked choke.
And this time it didn’t look like he was going to get out of it.
Still, the way this fight was going, you never know. 4. Royce Gracie vs. Dan Severn The Stage - UFC 4 championship bout on 12/16/94.
This was the match that truly proved Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu’s worth once and for all. For the first time, Royce Gracie came face to face with an elite athlete from a popular American sport. In the eyes of many, Dan Severn’s Greco- Roman wrestling career put him at a different level than Royce’s previous UFC opponents (he was a four time All American wrestler at Arizona State that formerly had held the American record for victories by pin).
Perhaps just as important, Severn outweighed Gracie by 90 pounds.
With no time limits or rounds, the fight pretty much started and ended in the same position. Severn immediately took Royce down, showing his wrestling advantage. From there, Royce got him in the guard. And that’s pretty much where they stayed for over 15 minutes. Severn pounded on Gracie through most of the fight, while all Gracie could do was protect himself. In short, things didn’t look good for the man from Rio de Janeiro.
That is, until just after the fifteen minute mark when Gracie pulled off a submission that many Americans had never seen. Something called a triangle choke; a submission engineered from the bottom position with one’s legs.
At 15:49 of the fight, Severn tapped, and Royce Gracie’s legend reached near epic proportions. 3. Royce Gracie vs. Kazushi Sakuraba The Stage - PRIDE Grand Prix 2000 Finals on 5/1/00.
Today, Pride championship bouts total twenty minutes (one 10 minute round followed by two five minute rounds). Fighters have to be in great shape to make it through such an event.
Now imagine fighting for over an hour and a half. That’s exactly what Royce Gracie and Kazushi Sakuraba did in this bout.
After Kazushi Sakuraba ( a catch wrestler ) defeated Royler Gracie by submission ( the first loss by a Gracie on the world stage in quite some time ), the stage was set. Royce Gracie came back to set the record straight, joining Sakuraba in PRIDE’s first ever Grand Prix tournament. They met in the second round under special rules that included no time limits (though there were rounds).
Early in the fight, Sakuraba nearly finished Gracie by knee bar. Later on, Gracie nearly caught Sakuraba in a guillotine choke. However, as the fight wore on, Gracie became unable to take Sakuraba down. Further, the Japanese fighter continually utilized Royce’s gi, a piece of clothing that had done so well by him in the past, against him.
Sakuraba’s leg kicks eventually became too much for the Brazilian. Royce’s brother threw in the towel after an hour and a half of fighting, through which Gracie had suffered a broken foot.
And with that, some of the mysticism of Gracie Jiu- Jitsu was gone. A Gracie could be defeated, even Royce, and an elite Japanese mixed martial artist named, Kazushi Sakuraba, had proved it. 2. Stephan Bonnar vs. Forrest Griffin The Stage - TUF 1 finale on 4/9/05.
These two guys will forever be stars because of this fight. They set the precedent for great TUF finale fights, for sure.
Was it pretty? No. Was it a display of elite kickboxing techniques? Not in total, though there were some moments (such as Bonnar’s spinning back kick). However, this fight was a display of heart, courage, and determination.
In other words, it was a brawl; perhaps unlike any that had ever graced an MMA stage.
Afterward, via split decision, Griffin got the edge. Did he deserve it? Who knows? All we do know is that many people, including UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, thought it was one of the best, if not the best MMA fights they’d ever seen. 1. Matt Hughes vs. B.J. Penn II The Stage - UFC 63 on 9/23/06.
Last time these two met, Penn had submitted Hughes via rear naked choke in the first round. Coming in, both fighters had a lot on the line. A win for Hughes would cement him as perhaps the greatest pound for pound mixed martial artist in history (in the eyes of many), while a loss might actually do the same for Penn.
In short, legacies were on the line.
Penn dominated early on, doing something that no other fighter had ever been able to accomplish against Hughes; he stopped his takedowns. Somehow, Penn had managed stay balanced, often on one leg, as Hughes attempted a host of single leg takedowns against him.
Due to the UFC Welterweight Champion’s inability to take the fight to the ground, Penn got his chance to throw punches. He immediately proved he was the better man on his feet. The man from Hawaii won the first round rather easily.
In the second, Hughes finally got Penn to the ground. Good thing, right? Well, not initially, anyway. Penn caught Hughes in a triangle choke that nearly did him in. But somehow, through sheer guts and determination, Hughes persevered and got through that round without tapping or passing out.
During that round, unbeknownst to spectators, Penn injured a rib. In addition, he apparently spent all his energy trying to submit Hughes.
A bad thing against a man that trains with Miletich Fighting Systems. They never gas.
In the third, Penn was a different fighter; a tired fighter. Hughes, on the other hand, wasn’t. He beat Penn to the punch on several occasions and then took him down. He got him in the crucifix position.
And then he pounded his way to a John McCarthy stoppage.
Afterwards, Matt Hughes answered Joe Rogan’s questions with a sense of pride. ’I knew I had all my guys in my corner; they weren’t with me, but they were in my heart. Just like the Lord Jesus Christ was with me, so I had no doubt.’
That sense of supreme confidence, that ability to handle adversity, is why Matt Hughes is who he is.

First, the drama. Both Penn and Hughes had each other in terrible positions. Penn did not escape, while Hughes did.
Though this fight did not mean as much to the sport as the two Gracie encounters that made this list, it was a far more exciting fight than both of those.
Perhaps just as important was the stage. This one went beyond a championship bout; as was said earlier, legacies were at stake. Hughes needed to defeat the only person in recent memory to defeat him in order to perhaps solidify his spot as the most dominant fighter of his generation (he and Fedor seem to be the two vying for this quasi title).
And that’s what he did.
Beyond all of this, Penn represented, perhaps, the most perfectly constructed opponent to Hughes’s skills. Great on his feet, near flawless takedown defense, and unbelievable submission from the guard, all of which would seemingly contrast well with Hughes’s style.
Last, MMA has never been bigger than it is now. Thus, the stage today is larger by sheer demand than any previous. Thus, the fact that this fight recently happened held some weight.

Can you even have a Super Bowl party if you don’t have Super Bowl betting games? The short answer is no. The longer answer is definitely not.
If you are struggling to come up with ideas, The Action Network is here to help. I’ve been playing Super Bowl party betting games for years, and I’d like to share some of my favorites.
Before we get to the list, remember: Communication is key. Make sure to inform your guests in advance about what betting games you will offer (and the stakes) at your party, so that they will arrive prepared. Nobody wants to spot anybody cash for these activities.Square Pool
This is the most famous Super Bowl betting game, and it’s one most of you have probably played at a party. If you haven’t, you just need a poster board, a magic marker, a ruler, and basic math skills.
Pro Tip: Buy two poster boards just in case you struggle in that last department. I’ve seen some botched boards in my day. Also, someone will inevitably write their name in too many squares. More on that to come.
Once you have those four things, draw 11 equal squares across the top of the board and 10 more down the left side (eleven including the already completed square in the left corner). Next, draw a 10X10 grid of squares inside of the row and column of squares you just created.
Now, divide 100 by the number of participants to determine how many squares each person gets. Once you have that number, each participant will write their name in that amount of random squares.
Pro Tip: Make sure you wait as long as possible to ensure everyone who wants in can play.
If you can’t divide 100 equally, create a house square and make up your own rule for those squares. We like to carry it over if those numbers hit before the end of the game, and give it to the party host if they hit at the end. You can also offer to sell those additional squares to increase the pot. In the example below, 10 people bought into the pool, which means each writes their name in 10 random boxes.
After you have all of the names filled in, put the numbers 0 through 9 on small pieces of paper into a hat. Have someone pick them out one by one. Write those numbers as they are picked across the top squares in order. Repeat for the squares down the left side of the board. Finally, split the first square in the top left corner with each team’s name.
The rules of the game are simple. If the Patriots win the game 24-20, STUCK would win the pot, since his name is in the square that coincides with the Patriots (4) down the side and the Eagles (0) on top. We like to divide this up into quarters to increase the excitement. The person holding the cup at the end of the first and third quarter takes a small amount out. The person at the end of each half gets a bigger payout. Divide it up however you see fit, but be prepared for the late half, meaningless Hail Mary interception cup switch.
Pro Tip: You can also use a football instead of a cup. However, watch out for your token drunk friend who is losing all of his bets.
If you want to make the game even more interesting, you can add a rule that every player must hold on to the cup (or ball) at all times when in possession. If someone gets caught putting it down, the cup changes hands. Finally, if someone passes out (or “falls asleep”) while holding the cup, make them watch the rest of the game outside through a window.MVP Hat Draw
For those who still need more party action, you can also do an MVP draw. Just write down all of the best players’ names on little pieces of paper, put them in a hat, and draw. The person who draws the MVP wins the pot, which keeps the game interesting even in the event of a blowout.
Pro Tip: Have everyone draw 2-3 names. You never know when a Dexter Jackson might surprisingly win MVP.
Having said that, I hope you pick Tom Brady, the only player in NFL history to win four Super Bowl MVPs. Overall, quarterbacks have won the award in 28 (55%) of 51 Super Bowls. But don’t lose hope if you pick a non-quarterback. A Dallas linebacker won in a losing effort in Super Bowl 5. And if things play out like they did in 1978 when two Cowboys defensive lineman won it in the only Super Bowl to have co-MVPs, then I guess everyone gets their money back.
